  • Design and Draft Lighting Systems for new construction and renovation projects

  • Coordinate projects between contractors, electrical engineers, designers, architects, salesmen, manufacturers, and end user

  • Supply turn-on and system commissioning of new dimming systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair dimming systems, fixtures, etc.
  • Prep, Hang and Focus lighting fixtures for implementation of designs
  • Train end user on lighting system, lighting console, conventional and automated fixtures, etc.
  • Provide quality customer service

Clarence Brown Theatre (member LORT, AEA, TCG) - Knoxville, TN (1998-2004)

Master Electrician

 
  • Supervised the use of lighting systems for the 581-seat Clarence Brown Theatre, 400-seat Ula Love Doughty Carousel Theatre (arena), and the 100-seat Lab Theatre (Black Box)
  • Managed and scheduled lighting crew, which consisted of hired-in electricians, IATSE union members, graduate and undergraduate students for 7-8 professional productions and several visiting tours and rentals per year
  • Educated and instructed crews using hands-on approach both on the job and in the classroom
  • Interpreted plots and paperwork, prepped the equipment and implemented the designs
  • Developed operations and procedures paperwork for lighting crewmembers during performances
  • Inventory, maintenance and purchasing of equipment
  • Construction of specialized instruments, effects and practicals
  • Chief programmer of computerized lighting consoles, moving lights, color scrollers and effects
  • Helped design and implement new lighting lab to assist in the education of students
